Personal Statement
Soccer has taken me so many places in my life. I have been playing club soccer since I was 6 years old and from the beginning I wanted to be better. I wanted to see where soccer could take me. Soccer has shown me friendships and competition. The game has pushed my emotions to the highest of joy and to the lowest of defeat. Each one leaving me determined to improve. The rush of joy after leaving everything on the pitch, left me anxious to feel that same emotion after each match. The agony of defeat, left me anxious to return to the pitch so I could get better. Soccer has taken me places physically that I would have never had the opportunity with camps and tournaments. Each day I still look forward with anticipation to what this passion of mine may show me next. I want to see what I can do with soccer while not over looking all the great things soccer has done for me. I am Ella Jacobs and I want to continue my soccer career at the collegiate level, while studying for a career in athletic training or sports medicine, and see what else this amazing game has in store for me. I want to use this awesome sport to its fullest. Soccer has taught me so much already in life. It has shown me the importance of teamwork and friendships. It has taken me places physically and emotionally. It has taught me confidence, determination and sacrifice and I can't wait to see what else soccer has to give and teach me in my lifetime.
