Personal Statement
My name is Lily Reynolds and I’m a 2025 goalkeeper. My lifelong dream is to play university women’s soccer. I’ve been playing since the age of 3 and started travel soccer as a goalkeeper with the Pelham Soccer Club. I played with them for 4 years, then decided to make a move to a higher level. I joined the Niagara International Football Club, a Canadian based team playing in the USA. After 3 years, I was offered a position on the Hamilton United OPDL team, the highest level of competitive youth soccer in Ontario. I’ve been fortunate to secure a training position with Mike Folino, goalkeeper coach for the Brock University varsity women's soccer team. Mike has helped me take my goalkeeping skills to another level. With his coaching expertise and with the opportunity to train with university keepers, my passion is fuelled to drive me to be my best and eventually play soccer in University. Combined with my skills and dedication, I'm also a very focused student with a 92% average. I think I would be a good candidate for your team, as I bring a lifelong commitment and understanding to my position as goalkeeper, confidence in myself, and strong academics. I realize my college life will consist of training and studies and I'm all in!
