Personal Statement

I am a hard working and dedicated athlete.  I currently attend Jefferson High School as a Senior in Portland, OR.  I have received varsity letters in both soccer and track and would love to continue playing soccer at the collegiate level.

I play center back and outside back for both my high school team and my club team, Portland City United (PCU). I have started in both those positions for both of my teams. My work in track has helped me with my stamina and speed so I am able to play whistle to whistle. I have been playing since I was five and that has given me the time to develop my skills as well as my knowledge of the game. I started varsity as a freshman and was named rookie of the year. Unfortunately Jefferson has not been able to field a varsity team for the past two years, but instead of transferring to a different school I decided I wanted to help rebuild the program. I was team captain last season (2018) as a junior and am active in leading my team on and off the field.

In addition to playing soccer and running track I like to participate in many other extra circular activities such as Mock Trial, Women's Empowerment Club, Volunteer Club,  and I started a after college preparation club as a leadership project for my school.  I consider myself to be a very good student and a great teammate on and off the field. I am most interested in pursuing a career in the law or sports medicine.

I appreciate your time and consideration.  I will be an asset to you program and school. Please contact me or any of my coaches if you have any questions.
