As an outside midfielder at Westview High School, I was a freshman starter last year and this year an incoming sophomore with a high status on the team. I play year-round club soccer for Bridge City Soccer Academy and have been playing at the club level for many years. I have strength and speed on the field and can also contribute in the outside back position. I am a team leader on and off the field and can read the field well. I work hard outside of practices doing extra strength and conditioning and getting one-on-one coaching to continue my growth as a player.
Academics have always been very important to me. After attending an environmental science middle school with aggressive math and science curriculum, I was well prepared for high school. I was able to achieve a 4.0 all throughout my freshman year of High School and plan to maintain that level of excellence as I move into additional honors and AP classes as a sophomore with hopes of a future in sports medicine or physical therapy. In addition to high school and soccer, I also volunteer at the Children’s Book Bank, a non-profit in Portland, which gives books to kids who have no books in their home.
I am dedicated on and off the soccer field and am always striving to be the best I can be. I am ready to accept the challenges of being a student athlete and am confident I would be a positive addition to your team as well as a strong student at your university. I am passionate about a future in college soccer and appreciate your consideration.
