Dear Prospective Coaches,
I have played soccer since I was 5 years old. I fell in love with the game then and I have a much larger passion and love for the game today. At the age of 8, I fell in love with the keeper position and have worked extremely hard every year to build upon my skills and have a strong desire to improve them each and every day. I play and train year round with my coaches, position trainer, and attend multiple sessions a week to build up my strength, speed and agility. My ultimate goal is to continue to play the sport that I love at the highest college level and I am looking forward to the rest of my High School and Club seasons to prepare and reach this goal.
My Freshman and Sophomore year of High School Soccer I played JV with some playing time in Varsity games as the backup varsity keeper. I was able to train, travel and experience varsity level play throughout the seasons and during Districts and States. The Varsity keeper ahead of me was a great peer, training partner and role model who taught me a lot about the game. She will graduate this year and has prepared me to become the leader of the team. As an upcoming Junior, I am willing and able to help take my team the distance we need to succeed. My club team has been playing well together and we were excited for the upcoming Spring season as we had a strong showing at the Winter Showcase and won the Indoor State Cup Tournament. Even though we cannot be on the field due to the COVID 19 virus, we have daily checkins and live online weekly team trainings. I continue daily with my individual training so when we can get back on the field I will be ready and am anxious for the start of the season.
In addition to my passion for the game, my want to compete, to be challenged, and my desire to win is evident when I play and train, I also love the concept of teamwork and I know how important team chemistry is to overall success. I have been able to build and develop leadership skills throughout the years. I did and will continue to do this by seeing the field, being a vocal extension of the coach, and giving encouragement to my teammates. I have also had the ability to create valuable long lasting friendships with every team I play on.
In the classroom, I have a 3.7 GPA and understand how important maintaining academic excellence is to getting a college education with the ability to play soccer. I will continue to be disciplined in the classroom and put the same energy into my school work as I do my training to be the best student athlete I can be.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to review my profile and I look forward to becoming a potential 2022 recruit!
