Personal Statement
I am a 5'10" forward from Oakdale, PA and will graduate with the class of 2022. I attend West Allegheny High School and currently have a 4.3 GPA. Academics are very important to me and I challenge myself each school year by taking multiple AP and Dual-enrollment classes.
I have been able to balance my academics along with numerous extracurricular activities, such as serving as President of the Ski Club, a member of SADD, a certified soccer referee (grade 8) for our youth community soccer program, holding a part-time job working at an ice cream shop, and I am presently working towards my Gold Award for Girl Scouts. In addition, I play cup soccer for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds Development Academy 03/04 ECNL RL team.
I have always dreamed of playing college soccer, and would like to play for an institution that has an outstanding academic reputation. I want to pursue a career in medicine and value the importance of a good education.
I started playing for my local youth soccer team at the age of 4 and have been playing cup soccer since I was 8 years old. I am currently in the ECNL but have participated in the Eastern Regional League Conference and many regional tournaments. I chose not to play high school soccer during my sophomore and junior years so I could concentrate on developing and refining my skills with the Riverhounds Fall Advancement Stage Programming. This program provides technical training 4 days per week in addition to speed and strength conditioning 1-2 times per week. My experiences of both playing and refereeing have provided me with opportunities to be a good leader, teammate, and athlete on and off the field. I rejoined my high school team for my senior year.
To say I love soccer is an understatement. I have a great work ethic and am a very dedicated player and student, always giving 100%. If I am not at an organized soccer practice or private lesson, you will more than likely find me at a field improving my skills or training at my local gym.
