My name is Avery Olesen and I have been playing soccer since I was 5. I have played all positions on the field but have fallen in love with the midfield positions. I currently play for my high school team and Lancaster Inferno, a newly developed travel league connected to the Lancaster Inferno Women's soccer team in Lancaster, PA. I am not afraid to go up against the bigger, older girls and have no problem getting between the player and the ball so I can take possession. Along with playing for my school team and the Lancaster Inferno, I play on a team that is comprised of a group of girls from three different schools in Lancaster County. We play indoor winter soccer during the office season. I am the type of person who is always willing to push myself and wants to always be on the pitch.
I am starting to think about what I want to pursue after high school. I know I want to go to college and pursue a degree in Sports Medicine which will allow me to go on and fulfill my final goal of becoming a Physician Assistant.
