Lainie Anderson '19 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5’1” outside back from Mechanicsburg, PA. I have earned a varsity letter on the Mechanicsburg Area High School soccer team for the past 3 years and was named second team Division All Star. I was voted team captain on my High School team last season. I also play for Keystone FC 00G and we have played in the following tournaments: Southern Soccer Showcase, SAC, Mid Atlantic Cup, EDP Cup, Bethesda Premier Cup and Disney Showcase. We were the 2017 champions of the EDP Cup, the Mid Atlantic Cup and Bethesda Premier Cup.I have a 3.8 GPA and I am looking for a school that holds high expectations in both the classroom and on the field. Ideally, I would enjoy an athletic environment where I could make an immediate impact on the team. I believe my best fit would be a DI or DIII team. My family is in need of financial assistance. Outside of school and soccer I enjoy spending time with my friends, my parents and my older brothers. I give a lot of my free time to organizing Mechanicsburg High School’s Mini-THON, which is a fundraiser of the Four Diamonds Fund that raises money to help fight childhood cancer. I also spend time with kids that have special needs through a program called PALS which partners them with same age peers for activities in their life skills classroom and various community events. I also enjoy meeting and supporting my young buddy every year at Special Olympics.
