Personal Statement
I first started playing soccer when I was in 5th grade and from the moment I stepped on that field I knew I was going to love it. Even though I started playing later than most of my teammates, I picked up on the game quickly. It soon became my favorite sport and I always wanted to play. In high school, the class 2 years older than me was very athletic. It intimidated me at first, but I learned that their skill level would only make me a better player. I started getting into the rotation with them and they helped to make me a better player. After making All-League 2nd team my junior year I was excited to see what my senior year would hold.
I ended up tearing my ACL the following basketball season. I missed the rest of the basketball season and my softball season. I knew there was a chance I could miss soccer season but this thought made me work harder. I came to every practice and every summer league game that my teams had. Even though I couldn't play, showing up reminded me what I am working for. I ended up getting cleared by the doctor 5 months post operation and I was back for the start of mandatory practices for my senior season this year. After playing in 3 scrimmages I am excited to see what this season holds!
I am currently starting my second year at Lehigh Carbon Community College and playing soccer, basketball, and softball. I am looking to transfer to play softball or soccer after I finish my second year here. I will have 2 years of eligibility remaining.
