4/9 Goal Personal Statement
My name is Carola Alvarez-Mena and I'm a center mid/forward 2022 graduate from Academia Maria Reina In San Juan, Puerto Rico. I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old. I was recently called up by the Puerto Rio Womens National Team toplay on a friendly FIFA against Guyana. I played the entire 2nd half as a midfield. Also, I was a starter for the Puerto Rico National Soccer team U16 in 2019 UNCAF tournament in El Salvador. Furthermore, I've been part of my school's soccer team since 6 grade. In 2020, I had the opportunity to play with MidWest United 04 club team in Grand Park Indiana Showcase . Also, I have a total of 23 mvps from my soccer career both club and high school. I have also been a starter for my club team since 2010. Soccer has been a huge part of my life and it has taught me growth and commitment.
