2018 HighlightsBeing chosen to join The New England Premiership Program was exciting. However, actually making an impact on my team was a much better feeling. As I strengthened my skills as a solid defensive player my Bayside team won three consecutive Columbus Day Tournament Championships. Playing with my team as center back, in our last year together we had only 3 goals against in spring season. Unfortunately, my team was dismantled and most of our team mates went there separate ways. It was difficult leaving my friends and coach, having developed so much with them but, I quickly joined another premier team. I was determined to continue leading my new team with the stronger skills and speed that I gained through a positive experience under my Bayside coach.
My new NEFC team finished in first place this spring, a great accomplishment considering we were a new team. I was also proud of myself scoring more than half of the goals with my team as a center back!
As I enter my senior year at Ponaganset High School, my goals remain the same, and are accompanied by my desire to finish my academics in the medical interventions program strong. I look forward to my high schools fall soccer season and to making an enormous impact as an outside mid field player. It’s very exciting for me to be placed in this new position and I am confident that the change will be good for the team and for me as well. This is a great opportunity for me to once again grow and reach a new level of play. Seeing the growth as a team in addition to the individual players I truly believe will also help strengthen our junior varsity players as well. As I complete my high school soccer career, that is a great feeling.
