I'm an aggressive keeper who plays from my gut. I prefer to go by Harper and when I was seven years old I was diagnosed with Auditory and Visual processing disorders. Every day was a challenge for me mentally and emotionally. I worked my way out of the resource classes. Currently, in high school I take a few Honors classes and on my way into more challenging courses each year. I really could have never done all of these accomplishments if i had never been enrolled into soccer. I clearly remember getting "butterflies" in my stomach when I walked up to the circle and waited for the whistle. Two years later my fall soccer team had no goal keeper. The coach asked if anyone was willing to try- I said I would. When I got in that goal the first time it was truly amazing. I was very aggressive for my age so I had no problem going down and taking the ball out from under someone's feet. I love the feeling I get every time I save a goal. I embrace the sighs of relief from my team mates, the cheering from the parents, and the confidence I gain. My favorite challenge in goal is a 1v1. My entire team puts their faith in me to lead them, encourage, and protect them.
