Personal Statement
My name is Cailey Owens, a 2020 graduate from Hillcrest High School in Simpsonville, SC. I am a forward on my travel team for the Carolina Elite Soccer Academy (CESA) Premier team but when needed I can play offensive mid. I am also a forward for Hillcrest High School's Varsity team and have been the starter since my freshman year. I am very interested in playing for a College or University with a strong academic reputation and women's soccer program.
On and off the field i have a strong passion/love for the game, a great attitude and have enjoyed playing soccer since before starting grade school. I have been the leading goal scorer since joining CESA and i made the varsity high school team my freshman year.
Hillcrest High School is a 5A High School and is one of the largest high schools in Greenville, SC. In my freshman year I scored the most goals (15) and was named "Rookie of the Year". Last year, during my Sophomore year, I again scored the most goals (15) and was named "Offensive Player of the year" and 5A All Region Forward". This February, I am looking forward to another successful high school season.
In college, i plan to study elementary education and currently have a 3.5 GPA. I am on track to raise my GPA before the end of this school year and i plan to take the SAT or ACT in the spring.
