I am a Soccer Player! Specifically, a holding midfielder who loves to build out of the back, switch the field and break down the other teams defense using my size, passing and field vision. I grew up in Oregon and started playing soccer when I was 3 years old. I played just about every sport possible until the 7th grade, that’s when I decided that I loved Soccer more than anything and that I wanted to play in College. From that 7th grade year on I continually challenged myself by moving to the most advanced team possible in my age group including making both the ODP state and ECNL teams in my area. I sacrificed a lot over the next four years considering I was often traveling close to 2 hours each way for training and games up to 6 days a week. I learned how to do homework in the car and on the road and as a junior at Franklin High School in 2019, will be taking 1 AP and 4 Honors classes this year. I have achieved Honor Roll in every semester but one so far in High School.
I recently moved from West Linn, Oregon to Franklin, Tennessee. Things have been pretty hectic getting used to a new state, school and club. I will be playing for the Tennessee Soccer Club’s U18/19 ECNL Composite team this year and I couldn’t be more excited. I am the youngest player on the team and am looking forward to competing with a team that finished in the top 4 of the ECNL U18/19 Composite Champions League at ECNL Nationals last year. These are the challenges that I look for. I consider myself to be the consummate team player and a natural leader. My Parents, Coaches and Mentor instilled in me at a young age a work ethic and mentality that allows me to be successful on the field. I consider myself a student of the game of Soccer and I spend a lot of time watching players like Lindsey Horan and Kevin De Bryune playing as midfielders at the highest level possible.
My goal is to play at a Division 1 College or University that will allow me to achieve my athletic and academics goals. I am looking for a school with a strong academic program that includes a track that will allow me to go on to grad school somewhere in the medical field. I would also like to play for a coach and team that believes that only as a team will they be successful. While I can play in any system, I believe I am the most effective as a player in a 4-3-3 or a 3-5-2. I would prefer a Soccer program that builds out of the back and is very technical, using quick one touch passing and off the ball movement to break down defenses and attack the opposing goal.
I am enjoying the journey that Soccer has taken me on so far and I can’t wait to see where I end up.
