Personal Statement

My name is Destiny Lowe.

I have been playing soccer for the past 9 years. After making All Stars when I was only 9, and it being my first appearance in the goal, I decided I wanted to pursue this sport to the highest level. As passionate as I am about my sport, I am just as passionate aout my education. School always comes first. I aim to do, and be my best at whatever I set my mind to, and I am looking forward to my future in college.

I have managed to maintain straight A's over the past 5 years, and now that I am in highschool, my goal is to continue that streak. Last year, when in the 8th grade, I was invited to our middle shcool's engineering course, and was also selected to take Algebra 1 at the actual highschool. So,this year,  as a freshman I am starting with Geometry.  I plan to pick a Major that will lead me to become a physical therapist, and hope to one day work with college level, maybe even pro athletes, as their physical therapist.

As a soccer player I have found my fit in the goal. I enjoy being the last line of defense, and no matter how good or bad we are doing, I am always guiding and encouraging my team to keep going. I never give up.I have more to learn, and am always yearning for healthy competition, I enjoy a challenge, and always give 100%. I push and strive to become greater, and better, at my sport. Whenever I do make a mistake I replay the scenario in my head, and tell myself what  I could have done better, or just flat out, what SHOULD I have done. I consider myself a perfectionist, and will achieve the tasks set before me. I dream to play for a University, and I know I will never let my coaches or team mates down when it comes to putting in the work, being dedicated, and being a team player. My goal is to be noticed by a professional team, and perhaps work my way into the number 1 spot for the National Team. The sky is the limit, and ultimately I look forward to all the new exeperiences that lay ahead of me.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
