Personal Statement
I am a tenacious 5’9 center attacking/defensive midfielder & center back originally from Torrance, CA and recently moved to the greater Nashville, TN area in early July 2019. Currently, I serve on the Tennessee Soccer Club's ECNL composite team under the coaching direction of Eric Bossman. I am a pacemaker both on & off the pitch with a strong reputation for winning balls in the air, explosive speed and strategic field vision. My style of play can be summed up as electric, impactful, driven and dynamic. I am confident my size, skill, innovation and energy would be a valuable addition to a collegiate program that values strength, elite fitness and winning. From the time I started walking, I was dribbling a soccer ball. Previously before my move to TN, I was an impact player for FRAM SC's top team, Premier Elite, as team captain under the coaching direction of Jack Gidney & Ollie Walsh as well as having the opportunity to serve as a Discovery Player for the Nationally Ranked Sting ECNL Dallas GU17 team under the coaching direction of Kenneth Medina. I am also experienced as a forward and a goalkeeper and have played for many of the major elite clubs in the South Bay, CA. In addition to my contributions on the field, I believe my multi-sport, servant-leadership off the field is equally notable. I am a Gold Award-winning Girl Scout – giving 100+ hours of my time to my community every year; I led my High School Varsity Football Team as the ‘Best Kicker in League” and was proudly the only girl playing in the entire South Bay Varsity League of 500+ athletes, and was named the “Most Improved” athlete on my High School Varsity Basketball Team. I also participated in Track & Field Freshman - Junior year. My commitment to excellence and, most importantly, to my personal development, are one of the many valuable attributes that can confirm my upward and forward trajectory to my dreams.
In an effort to stay ahead of the curve, I’ve been training with a renowned and state-of-the-art Athletic Engineering and Recovery company called Game Ready Performance (GRP) in Hermosa Beach, CA as well as with Kyle Feldman, Nationally Certified Strength & Condition Coach, Franklin TN affiliated with D1 Sports. With both the team at GRP & Coach Feldman, I’ve put in considerable work refining proper loading and functional movement and mechanics, increasing my aerobic, analectic and sprint capacities, and engaging in Neurokinetic training to fortify my body for injury prevention.
I’m looking forward to entering college as a Criminal Justice, Sports Medicine or Fire Science major with a minor in Spanish and/or Sign Language, and am eager to play for a Division I soccer program that will both challenge, inspire and continue to develop my game.
