Brianna Galvan '21 Recruiting Profile

    My name is Brianna Galvan, I am 16 years old and have a little sister and brother.  I attended St. Patrick’s Catholic School for elementary and middle school.  I am currently a sophomore at El Paso High School in El Paso, Texas.  I anticipate to graduate in May of 2021. 

    Playing soccer has always been a huge part of my life.  I began playing soccer when I was five years old with AYSO.  When my parents realized how much I loved playing soccer and wanted to be the best, they moved me to Club.  I have been playing Club soccer since I was eight years old.  I currently play for EPCSL Cosmos FC, and have been playing with them since 2014.  I play right wing, left wing, and forward.  In Cosmos, I have been able to play in major tournaments such as President’s Cup, Lonestar College Showcase, Manchester Cup, Dallas International Cup, and Surf Cup.

    I also play for El Paso High School.  As a freshman, I was a starter as a right wing.  We had a very strong team, and were ranked as high as fourth in the State of Texas by the Texas High School Coaching Association.  I had the most goals in district by a freshman with seven goals.  As a sophomore, I started every game and played the full game.  I played right wing, left wing, and forward.  I scored 18 goals and ended up third in district in scoring.

    In addition to the training I receive from the above two coaches, I train with two other soccer coaches and a personal trainer.  The two soccer coaches work with me on technical and shooting skills.  The personal trainer helps me improve my speed, agility, conditioning and strength.  I am working hard year round and going the extra step in order to keep playing the game I love at the college level. 

    In college, I plan to major in Business and eventually go to law school.  My father is an attorney who own has his own law firm.  For the past four summers I have worked at his firm.  I have found law very interesting and someday want to practice with him or open my own law firm.
