Personal Statement

I am Miranda Coffey.  I started playing club soccer at 3 years old and have been a soccer player ever since! In 7th grade I realized I wanted to work harder and maybe play in college. I joined my first club team. Starting Club was a little later than most, I had to work extra hard and bring up my skill level and knowledge of the game. Extra work and dedication, as well as a love for the game, help me to Advance into a higher level of play. I never gave up and still have a desire to keep improving! I do well at reading the field, creating places, and scoring goals! Soccer has truly been a journey for me. I have learned many things about myself doing soccer, like how I enjoy a challenge, how I always want to improve, and how important feedback is to me. I love being a team player! I also have learned that a setback is only an opportunity to rise. I know that “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength”  (Philippians 4:13).  A positive attitude plus a little sweat and persistence will produce great things. My academic goals are to finish strong with a GPA of 3.75+. I will continue to stay involved in school clubs and service activities to better my connection with fellow  classmates and my community.   I have a desire to play soccer in college and be involved with the university anyway I can! I have worked hard to be where I am today and could not have gotten here without the help from amazing coaches and my encouraging parents, and the Lord. I believe I possess the qualities of strong worth ethic, leadership, self-discipline, dedication, encouragement, and respectfulness.   I plan on using my skills and qualities to fulfill the plan God has for me and display a book character both on and off the field.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
