Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Marisol Manriquez. My dream has always involved soccer. There was never a day when I thought I was done with the sport. However, the day eventually came when I was unable to play. Six months, no soccer, no running, no joy. The point is, I never gave up on the thought of ever playing again. This led me to more and more practice, which has made me realize how strongly I feel about playing in college. My dedication on and off the field is what keeps me going. I am a natural leader when it comes to running up and down the field or in a classroom. Even though I am late, I am glad I have an opportunity to hopefully get recruited and continue chasing my goals athletically and academically.
