My name is Emma Lovell (class of 2025) and I aspire to be a student athlete at a top-tier academic university or college where I can also compete in soccer at an elite level. I currently play for the Albion Hurricanes FC U16 ECNL (Houston, TX) and the Ridge Point High School
Varsity (Missouri City, TX) teams. I recently moved to the ECNL league because I want to regularly compete and showcase my skills against the best competition in Texas.
Prior to the Fall 2022 season, I was Team Captain and the starting Center Mid/Back for the Dash 07 GA team led by Coach Omar Morales. Coach Morales accepted a collegiate women's soccer coaching position at Texas A&M Commerce, which also factored in the timing of me switching leagues and clubs. While at Dash I was selected each year to participate in the Girls Academy Talent ID Conference Event for the Top 32 players and our team consistently qualified for the GA Summer Playoffs and Champions League national events.
My 2022 Varsity team at Ridge Point H.S. made the Texas UIL 6A State Cup Semifinals for the first time in school history. I was awarded 2nd-Team All-District 20-6A
Honors starting every game at the Outside Defender position. As a first-year high school student I received Academic All-Conference Honors with a 4.0 GPA (4.3 weighted), and I was the only '07 birth year player to make the varsity roster. The Ridge Point Lady Panthers have now clinched the 20-6A Girls' Soccer District Championship in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021 & 2022!
I consider my strengths as a soccer player to be my speed, versatility, physicality and high "Soccer IQ". I train on the side with former Professional (German 3-4th League), MLS Cup Winner (Houston Dynamo) and NCAA Champion (UNC) Marcus L. Storey. Aside from being dedicated to soccer, I am extremely hard working and give maximum effort in everything I do. I am also very “coachable” as I listen and respond to feedback very well. I would love to realize my goal of continuing my soccer career at the collegiate level while also pursuing a degree in Science (Biology) or Math.
I have played competitive club soccer since I was 7 years old and it’s my true passion. My other hobbies include hunting, reading and drawing. I volunteer at my church's Vacation Bible School (VBS) during the summer. In middle school I also excelled at volleyball, track and cross country in addition to soccer. My extracurricular activities include National Junior Honor Society and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Lastly, I'm very thankful for my family. They devote a lot of time to soccer as my younger sister, Ella, also plays for the Albion Hurricanes FC U13 ECNL team. I would not be where I am without their love and support!
