Personal Statement
I play for the Houston Dash Beaumont 01 PA team and I am also a starter on the High School Varsity team for my third year at Nederland High School. I am also one of the team captains for my High School Varsity Team. I have also trained with Coach Henry Zapata at Lamar University in 2016 and 2017. I play as a midfielder and defender for both my club team and my high school team. I work hard not only on the field and practices, but also in the classroom. Academics play a big part in my life. I maintained all A's and one B for my final grades my Freshman year and Sophomore year. I am also a member of the National Honor Society. I have been playing soccer from the age of four and I have always shown up ready to work at every practice and give it my all during every game. I always want to learn new skills to use in my games. I also work out as much as possible during my off season periods since it is crucial to keep up my strength and stamina. I want to attend a college where I can be challenged academically and in a team, where I can push myself to strike for the best. I always have a positive attitude and push my teammates when they are down to get back up and keep trying. Soccer is a huge part of my life and carrying it on with me to college would be amazing. I continuously find empowerment through the game that gives me the confidence to excel in life. This confidence will be a valuable asset as I pursue my goals, on and off the soccer field.
