My name is London Spangler. I am 16 years old and just finished my Sophomore year of High School at Texas High School in Texarkana, Texas. I have played soccer since I was 6 years old and am a very passionate and competitive player. I have been playing for Texarkana Soccer Club 05-06 girls team since the Spring Season of 2018, and I have played 2 years of High School Soccer for the Texas High Lady Tiger Soccer Team (1-year JV & 1-year Varsity). I also attended soccer camp at Texas A&M University the year before last and won the title of PK Champion out of over 700 campers. Unfortunately, I couldn't attend last year due to covid and a house fire that my family experienced in early June last summer. In addition to my hard work ethic in soccer, I also hold very high standards for myself in my education. Over the past 7 years, I have worked with and completed many hours of study with horses at summer camp at Brookhill Ranch in Hot Springs, Arkansas. I studied very hard and achieved all of the horsemanship awards the camp offers, which wasn't an easy task. As of the end of my sophomore year, I have completed 16 hours of dual credit classes for college credit, including, but not limited to, Equine Science and Small Animal Management. Since I was a very young child, my desire has been to attend a college that offers a graduate degree plan in Equine Veterinary Medicine and become an Equine Veterinarian. In addition to a soccer player and student, I am also a member of First Baptist Church Texarkana, a Student Council member, a National Honor Society member, and an assistant coach/trainer for my younger sister's soccer team. As far as my hobbies and interests, I enjoy playing soccer first and foremost, hunting, fishing, pretty much anything outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and going to church. I am very grateful for my parents working hard to provide me with the ability to play travel soccer because I know it is expensive and time-consuming. I can only hope that my hard work, drive, and determination to be the best player I can be will allow me to play for many years to come.
