Mellisa Mortensen '19 Recruiting Profile

Soccer is my passion and I have played for nine years.  I plan to go to college and pursue soccer there. Academics are immensely important to me. I currently have a 3.7 GPA. Last quarter I received a 4.0 and plan to do so for the rest of high school.

I am number 17 on Richie Breeza's 2001 Premier 1 soccer team and have played at this level for a few years.   I am pretty versatile playing outside D and mid.  But my strong suit is most definitely forward.  This high school season I ended up being the 6th leading scorer in 6A, the highest division in my state.   I believe in putting my best effort in everything I do.  Everyday I work on shaping myself into the person and player I want to be. 

A few other things about me is that I am also active member of NHS, National Honor Society and have done a good number of service hours.  I also participate in various clubs and organizations.  Photography and enjoying the beauty of nature are a few of my favorite things to do on my free time.
