Personal Statement
I’ve been playing soccer since I can remember, and my passion for the sport has only grown through the years. I play holding and attacking midfield. I love the challenge of winning the ball, and opportunity to distribute as well.
I like to wind down after a challenging day of school and soccer by playing the piano, it’s a great stress reliever for me. I’m active in my church and I enjoy serving and building others up. As a result I can communicate with teammates and coaches well.
My personal approach to soccer is to give 100% on the field, have a good attitude toward my teammates and coaches, and do what comes natural to me. I always try to work my hardest and leave the field knowing I did everything I could to achieve success. I think having a good attitude is key to being teachable. Players that talk positively to each other and have good sportsmanship play better as a team and trust each other. I use muscle memory to expand my knowledge of the game. When a coach teaches a new idea, I practice, modify, and branch off of it using my natural instincts.
I would like to continue my education and enthusiasm for soccer in a positive environment where I can learn and grow as a student and athlete, and also help my peers achieve their goals as well.
