My name is Javiera Sanchez and I play goalkeeper for Fredericksburg Football Club 04/03 Girls Black. I have been playing goalkeeper for eleven years and to this day have had the love and passion for the position and the sport. Soccer has been a big part of my life and I cannot imagine my life without it.
When I am not busy with soccer I always make time for my studies and take school just as seriously as I take soccer. I have been on Honor Roll all four years of high school and have been part of Spanish National Honors Society. I try to mange my time as well as I can because I spend most of my free time getting extra training sessions in or going out and working on things I need to improve on in soccer. I also love to spend time with my friends and family when I am not playing soccer.
What makes me stand out compared to other goalkeepers is my footwork and how much I love to play out of the back. I believe that playing out of the back helps solves problems before they even happen. For example passing the ball back instead of kicking it out for a throw in or corner kick. I am a competitive person and am looking for a college that challenges me athletically as well as taking my academics seriously.
