I am a driven athlete and student who consistently seeks a competitive edge to better myself both on the field and in the class room. I have been playing soccer competitively for more than eight years. At age 10 to age 14 I lead my travel team as striker with the most goals scored. At age 15 I played college level competitive soccer, many times outperforming the older athletes. In 2016 I was awarded the Golden Boot Trophy at a Division 3 College soccer tournament, scoring seven consecutive goals. I have always played against older and more experienced players to better my skillset. I have been able to compete with or dominate most of my competition because of my speed, agility and ball handling skills. I approach soccer in an academic way, studying the field and anticipating best strategic move to effectively move the ball forward and to victory.
I am a goal oriented person who approaches challenge with tenacity and resolve. I have been team member with variety of travel soccer clubs in Virginia and West Virginia and have been selected for the Virginia State Olympic Development Program (ODP) Pool. Additionally, I field forward and midfield positions for the Virginia Soccer Association U-17 NPL team. I take pride in my versatility on the field and I am able to field any foot position at a moment’s notice.
Taking my place at a well-respected university and becoming a member of a strong soccer club has become my dream. My hard work, dedication and drive has prepared my for a university that offers a vigorous academic program as well as a strong athletic program. I am currently attending Mountain Vista Governor School for academically advanced students and maintain a 4.33 GPA.
Head Coach Paul Ehrhardt, of the CSC Internationals once said “Vicky is an excellent player all around, one of strongest girl players I have coached ever, including girls who are currently playing in ECNL” and wrote on my Captain U profile “Victoria is the best player all around on my U17G team. She is strong and fit, with excellent cardio endurance (runs cross country in high school) and has speed with the or without the ball.” Head Coach Arron Daily of EPIC Storm posted, “Victoria plays aggressively, with a very high IQ, and with a very high intensity…Victoria is very coachable and open minded, and knows what she has to do to be a better overall player and athlete”
Best stated by two of my former coaches, I will bring a level of commitment and dedication that is unmatched to whatever university I select or who selects me. When selected, I will highlight that university with loyalty and pride
