Personal Statement
I have played club soccer since the age of 5, but at age 9, started as a left defender. My coach realized early on that I could keep up with defending the fastest forward on the opposing team, as well as having the competitive drive to never let the ball past me. I have started for my high school Varsity team, as left back, since the beginning of my freshman year. Our record was 20-1-1, making it to the state championship game and individually scoring 8 goals throughout the season. Last year was a rebuilding year, with the majority of the team being underclassmen. I had 11 goals overall. This year, we made it to the State semi-final and fell short by one goal, but I made the 1st team All-Region.
I am known for my witty sense of humor and for being very positive, outgoing, and competitive. I believe in playing the game and leaving everything on the field. Though I am incredibly competitive, I have had bad experiences with team leaders who were not very supportive, so I always make a strong point to be positive and lead by example. I would love to attend a college with a strong ROTC program, as I would like to commission into the Navy.
