Personal Statement
I began playing soccer at the age of 6. I am passionate about the game and have played club ball since the age of 8. This led me to seeking higher level coaching, competition and to being recruited to play ODP.
I have outstanding leg strength, a strong core to leap, dive, and stand ground improving my shot stopping abilities and I am very comfortable with a ball at my feet and playing out of the back to add distribution options. My goal is to play at a top level collegiate soccer program while obtaining an equally high level education with the hope of building a career and opportunities for the future.
I work hard to balance academics and soccer often staying after scheduled practices and finding additional time to perfect my skills as a goal keeper. I am a hard working recruit. I train privately with the a Virginia/Region I ODP girls goal keeping coach, a prior professional keeper, my club team, and my school team.
Off the field, I am regarded by peers and teachers for having the character to speak on behalf for the students who are less fortunate than I. One of my favorite non-profit activities is to help in securing/shopping for toys for tots over several months each year.
I readily take advice and constructive criticism, and work to absorb all feedback to improve not only for myself, but to be a contributor to the teams I have an opportunity to play on. I look forward to the next steps and opportunities.
