I am an attacking midfielder, apart of Colonial Forge’s class of 2022 in Stafford, Virginia. I play in the Girls Academy League for Metro United U17. I grew up playing soccer while living in Europe which has allowed my soccer background and technique to be so different than if I had grown up in America. While living in Germany, I captained my American-German club team to a league championship, and I was the top scorer and 2nd leader for assists in my region during freshman and sophomore year. Along with club, I played for the ODP Europe Team and my varsity high school soccer team both years, competing amongst international schools in Europe. In my sophomore year, I added extra training with the professional SV Elversberg Womens Regionalliga team.
Academically, I have a 3.95 GPA and take honors + AP classes. I also am apart of National Honors Society, FBLA, and was the treasurer for my sophomore class. In Germany, I created a successful club for my school, which essentially provided food and ways of meeting new people in the community for those that are lonely. Collegiately, I would like to continue to be an impactful member of the community off the field and have my education focused on business while competing at a competitive school.
With a season-ending stress fracture my freshman year and COVID-19 my sophomore year, I can say that, while this was and has been so mentally challenging, it’s pushed me to my peak in every physical and mental aspect. These negative situations have really highlighted my passion and grit to persevere. Playing in Virginia has required me to adjust my European styles of soccer to the American ones but has also allowed me to realize that my blend between the two is something that will forever create a specialty with me on the field.
