I am a senior at William Monroe High School in Stanardsville, Va. I'm 5' 11" and play center defense, offensive center mid, or defensive center mid. My number for high school is 15. I've played soccer since I was 3 years old and it is my one true love. I made my high school's JV team as an 8th grader and started playing varsity as a freshman. I have been a starter in every game since my 8th grade year. In the 2012-13 school year, my freshman year, the William Monroe Dragons varsity team placed third in our district for the first time ever! In the 2013-14 soccer season we did even better and placed second, breaking records for history at William Monroe. Our district season ended 15-3-0. I got the honor of 2nd team all-Bull Run district and 2nd team all- conference 28 for center mid as a sophomore. We were first seed in our conference and fell to John Champe in semi-finals leaving us 3rd for conference 28. Summer 2014 I attended an ID camp at Virginia Tech and was named player of the week for my team scoring 4 goals and leading my team to win our 7v7 tournament. My junior year we ended 2nd in our district and 3rd in our conference. I made 1st team All Bull Run District and 1st Team All Conference 28 as cetner mid.
I play travel ball in the fall, for the past few years I played on my local team, Greene Futbol Club. In fall 2013 we became a premiere team for the first time and finished third out of 6 teams in our league. My team placed second in the Region 2000 Cup Labor Day Tournament and the Richmond Commonwealth Invitational in the fall of 2013. In the fall of 2014, I palyed on the u18 SOCA Elite team. Moving from the less competitive GFC to the Elite level SOCA was a great change for me. I feel I've grown as a player. In the fall of 2015 I am playing u18 SOCA Elite, yet again.
In college I want a school that helps me balance soccer and education. I would love to go into the biological field of Kinesiology to become a physical therapist. My education and my family always come first in my life. I'm different from other players because I give my all every second of every game and a strive to be the best. I push myself every day to become stronger on the field and smarter in the classroom. I try to be the best teammate and make the right decisions. Please help me reach my dreams of being the first person in my family to play a college sport, and making everyone proud, including me.
