Personal Statement
My name is Felisa Racinez and I am in the 2022 graduating class. I am a right footed defender with a driven and positive attitude on and off the field. Along with full time soccer, I have a 4.0 gpa and run Varsity track at James Madison High School. Most of my time day to day is either spent on improving my game, focusing on my studies, building on my faith, or with my family and friends.
I have been playing soccer ever since I was little and it has always been a constant in my life. I have moved to California from Virginia and back and continued to play soccer at a competitive level. Because of this I have been able to learn from many different coaches and players. I am very coachable and wish to get better everyday on and off the field. I have a high soccer IQ, and am able to develop a vision for gameplay and react to situations in the best way possible on the field. I have become a confident and directing piece of the back line and am able to position myself correctly in crucial defensive as well as offensive scenarios. I am an aggressive, fast, and disciplined player.
Academics have always been important to me and in the future I hope to pursue a career related to Science or Engineering. Based on the information above, I believe that I would make a great asset to a college team given my drive, coachability, work ethic, technical ability and passion for the game.
