Corissa Weimer '24 Recruiting Profile

     Hello my name is Corissa! My biggest goal in life is to succeed in all that I do. I strive to do and be the best me. I’m currently an Honor Roll student at Prairie High School, playing both soccer and tennis. During my off season for high school sports, I play club soccer. My soccer teams have taught me not only how important teamwork and commitment is but also how to better solve problems. I hope to use this in my study of Civil Engineering.       
      My biggest characteristic is that I’m a hard worker when it comes to both sports and school. Over the years I have earned not only just medals and trophies, but rewards and accomplishments for all my hard work that has paid off.  
      My soccer background started when I was about 5 years old and has grown since. My goal for growing up was to do and accomplish stuff that my younger self would be proud of, and I can say I have done so. My biggest soccer accomplishment would be winning state twice now, and finishing as finalists  the third year. On the other hand my tennis career started only 2 years ago. Just playing in high school, I have found a love for this sport with my biggest accomplishment so far being, making it on 2nd team all-league.

     Out side of sports I really enjoy helping out the community. I like to support our local church in their food, and clothes  drives. While I also enjoy volunteering at our local WHO (homeless shelter that provides cooked meals, beds, games, and gives them someone to talk with). During the winter I enjoy getting a group together to provide Christmas gifts to a family in need. I hope that I can further help more in the future!
