Hi am Zoey Snow and sports have always been an important part of my life. Growing up I was willing to try just about anything such as snowboarding, basketball, tennis , volleyball training and even juggling and unicycling. You may think this doesn't relate to my Soccer aspirations but it makes me a better candidate. During my elementary years I saw a team that I knew I needed to be on. I didn't know the first thing about juggling and unicycling but this didn't stop me. Although I didn't make the team at first I dedicated my summer to learning everything I could about juggling and unicycling. I bought equipment, got tutoring, came in the mornings to school to practice, missed my recess in order to make the team. I made team and it was the best experience of my life and made me a more ambitious and dedicated athlete.
For a long time now I have been considered a dedicated player and in middle school I had a dream of playing college basketball. I worked hard, played school teams ,tournament teams and made varsity team after a lot of fails and even went to college exposure camp. Am sharing this experience because during this year I really took a look at myself and didn't like what I saw for myself in aspirations for basketball . 2020 has made me take a look about doing more of what makes me feel the most alive. I feel the most alive when I play soccer. I have had the best experiences in my soccer teams. I have played soccer since I was three on community rec teams, school teams and played varsity during freshman year and sophomore years .
I train for soccer season during the summers on the field and in the weight room so I can play at my best. I do my best outside of training to have my health and wellness a priority . I know I may have not played tournament teams or attended college camps but I feel like my determination to my teams and myself have been much stronger then any of that. I have college aspirations of playing on a college team. I also know education needs must come first and need a school that can help academically. I have dyslexia and soccer has been a way for me to be a better learner and helped me feel like I fit in. I would love to play and hope you consider me at your school.
