Hello, my name is Marisa Bell, I am 17 years old and am a 2022 graduate. Even though I have participated in multiple sports: track, played volleyball and gymnastics, soccer is the one that stuck with me. I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old and have experienced many setbacks and achievements. Throughout my years of playing I have always been overlooked and taken for granted by coaches, so I took that and used it as motivation to train harder and prove them wrong. Going from Division 3 RCL in the past, I now play Division 2 and have opportunities of playing up a year in Division 1 for Federal Way Football Club. Also, thanks to my hard work I have played Varsity soccer since my sophomore year at Kentwood High School. I have really gained the love, passion and commitment for soccer and I want to continue to push myself and play at the next level in college.
In addition, I am very versatile and have played every position there is competitively. The ones that I excel at are outside midfielder and outside defender. I have also played multiple formations, easily adapting to the new situations.
Of course, education is always a number one priority for me, hoping to become a Physical Therapist with an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science. My high school GPA is a 3.86 consisting of College in the high school and AP classes. I also take classes at Green River College with a 4.0 GPA. It is very important to me to reach my goals in life and to always challenge myself. Knowing exactly what I want to do makes me a unique athlete and it also makes me more determined, focused and prepared for the next level.
