Personal Statement

Hello Coaches!

To help you get to know me a little better: My name is Anna Turner. I am 17 years old, born in 2004. I am one of the team captains for the OL Reign Academy 03/04 Rouge team and play as an attacking midfielder and right/left winger. I am a senior at Kentridge High School, class of 2022. I live in Renton, Washington and am a US and German citizen.  

I started playing soccer when I was 10 years old. I learned to play on both girls and boys teams in Germany. I have international experience and have attended many tournaments and games for the girls Berlin state team and on the boys team in Europe such as the Czech Republic and Austria. 

During the past months to help improve my soccer skills, I have been using the Techne app and utilizing my creativity to make my own training plan.  Adding on, I'm watching as much soccer as I can to strengthen my IQ and to improve my knowledge. I am also working with a strength/speed coach and with a private soccer coach. 

My goal is to play NCAA soccer at the highest level and after college I want to play professionally. I am passionate about playing soccer and being on the field with my team. I enjoy having a soccer family and being part of a community. I look for a team that plays well together, is dedicated, likes to win, but does not put winning above everything else. I have learned a lot over the years and can bring my experience to the right school and team. 

I have been virtually visiting schools by looking at their websites and am filling out the recruiting questionnaire for programs I find interesting. I enjoy looking at the campus pictures and getting to learn a little more about the school and soccer programs.  The majors I want to study are either Linguistics or Sports Management. 

I live in the Pacific Northwest, but am open to learning about schools in other parts of the US as well.
