Amanda McKay '20 Recruiting Profile

Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. I am a lifelong athlete playing youth tackle football, basketball, track and field, golf and many others. I have found that soccer is where my heart lies. I have had the privilege of being Sultan High School's Varsity Goalkeeper and earned 1st team All-Conference in our league as a sophomore.  My save percentage at the beginning of the 2018 season was approximately 0.94 and I averaged over 30 shots a game and loved every minute. 

After graduating in 2020, I am looking toward a career as an Orthopedic Surgeon. I would love the chance to chase this dream while continuing to play the sport I love. Even with a busy athletic life (soccer and basketball), I maintain a 3.83 cumulative GPA and was accepted into the highly selective ORCA program through Everett Community College's Running Start. When not on the field or in the classroom, I volunteer at multiple community programs, many of them youth sports, and have managed to earn over 120 volunteer service hours in my freshman and sophomore years alone.
