Personal Statement
Speed, physicality, dedication, competitiveness and love of the game. That's what makes me want to continue my soccer career in college. I remember when I was around 6 years-old and my dad told me I had to choose between ballet and soccer because there wasn't enough time in the day for both. I loved dance but I didn't hesitate in picking soccer. I still pick soccer every day. It is a part of me and I look forward to the practices and games... and the personal training work-outs in between. As the center back on my team, I thrive on being the play stopper. I want to win the ball every time and feed my teammates a great ball. The thought of playing at the college level and participating in a higher level of training and competition really excites me. I love to be challenged and be taught ways to improve. This drive I have in soccer is something I try to apply in all aspects of my life. As a flautist I practice my flute daily, take private lessons and play in the orchestra and wind ensemble. As a student I challenge myself with AP classes, study hard and also attend early morning seminary each day. As a friend and teammate I look for the best in those around me and celebrate their successes. I have a great family for whom I love and who love and support me, Making them proud brings me a lot of joy and motivation. I will continue to improve and work hard over the next couple of years in high school and then I hope to share my college journey with a great school who is looking for a confident soccer player, a dedicated student and a great friend and teammate.
