Personal Statement

I've been playing soccer since I was three years old. I started out in YMCA, then rec, now competitive and high school. Soccer has always been a part of my life. My dad has been a big influence in my career, as he grew up playing soccer and loves the game too. I have learned how to work with others to accomplish the same goal. I have also learned that I can achieve anything when I have the motivation, when I set my mind to it and work hard. For example, one year I did not make the team I wanted to make, when supplemental tryouts came around, I worked as hard as I could and I made the team. I am ready to take on leadership roles on the team and on the field. My academic goals for high school are to continue to take advanced level courses and keep my GPA above a 3.8. I believe I possess the skills to excel in my academics and athletics.
