I am Katie Fields, an outside back and center midfielder currently playing and competing at Gov. John R. Rogers High School and Washington Premier Football Club, ECNL-RL.
Since the age of 4, I've grown a passion for this sport. It has been more than just an after school activity. Soccer has brought me countless opportunities, a community and personal lessons that I would have never learned elsewhere. It has also taught me to be a part of something bigger than myself. As a Team Captain, I have learned to become a leader that can push everyone, hold them accountable and uplift my teammates. These skills I have learned will help me grow past just competing on the field.
Playing soccer at the collegiate level is important for me to continue to grow my skills beyond what I have already learned. To challenge my academic career while maintaining the work ethic of my sport is incredibly important to me. Continuing to prioritize my education and push myself in the classroom and on the field is my focus for the next chapter of my life.
