From a young age, I have always been a determined athlete, always working to earn my spot on any team inside of school and outside of school on my Seattle United ECNL team. I am attending Seattle Academy of Arts and Sciences this year as a junior making it my third year attending their high school program. Seattle Academy of Arts and Sciences is a private preparatory school that always pushes me to accomplish my goals. I am looking primarily at Division III pre-med programs on the East Coast.
Inside of school, I am the starter on my Varsity soccer team. In our 2017 season, we were champions in our league as well as Bi-District champions. In our state competition, we placed 4th overall. Outside of high school, I am one of two goalies who split time on the Seattle United ECNL Girls 02 team. The ECNL team is a new addition to the club this year with lots of talent. I am often invited to play up a year or two on different teams within my club. During the 2018 Silverlakes Tournament I played up with the Seattle United ECNL 00/01 team in the highest bracket of the tournament. I am also a starter on the Varsity basketball team at my school. This is a team that has won the league for many years and always makes state playoffs. Last season I was voted onto 2nd team All-League within Washington State state out of many players.
I take my academics seriously, always working hard to be the best student I can be. This year I will be taking five separate honors courses, Honors History, Honors English, Honors Physics, Honors Calculus 1, and Honors Spanish 5, as well as taking Advanced Photography. Last year I ended my school year with a 3.89/4.0 GPA cumulative unweighted and a 4.10/4.0GPA weighted giving me High Honors Roll.
Inside of school, I am involved in many activities. This year I am a part of the Advanced Photography program within my school. It is a very selective course that gives you the opportunities to have your work displayed in state competitions as well as different local museums. I am also going to be a student facilitator this year, mentoring the new freshmen that will be entering the school. As a facilitator, I am given a single group of freshmen students to advise alongside another student at my school. My job is to make sure that those students transition into high school as smoothly as possible. I am also involved in the futsal club at my school. We meet every Monday and Wednesday at 6:30 am in our school gym.
