My name is Maria Strasser, and I have been playing soccer since I was 6. I have always had a passion for not only the competitiveness, intensity, and exhilaration of the game, but also the relationships I make and lessons I learn along the way. I would like to take the love I have for the game to the collegiate level. I believe it could be a life changing experience.
I am a player of speed, with strong ball handling skills. I am always a player on the field not only communicating critically, but also encouragingly toward my teammates. I am very determined in everything I do, whether that is in soccer or school. My work ethic is one of my most desirable characteristics.
My current GPA is a 4.0, and I intend in maintaining that throughout highschool, and through college. I take the hardest classes offered at my level. I am a part of my student government, and I am a big participant in my school in general. I also volunteer at St. Margaret's Women and Children Shelter. I am a part of a local Catholic Charities Youth Board. In addition, I referee for youth soccer in my community.
I hope to find a college that challenges me in everything I partake in. I also hope to find a college that can not only shape me to be a better student and player, but a better person.
