I started playing soccer at recess in third grade, and was often the only girl on the field. I enjoyed the competitiveness, pace, environment, and so much more of the game, so I joined a local rec league and played for three years. At the end of sixth grade I found myself looking for a higher competitive level and moved to Highline Premier. Although the commute can be over an hour long, (and involves walking, taking a bus, and a ferry three days a week) playing for the team feels worth it. After two years, I was looking for a more competitive level of soccer again, and tried out for SURF Academy and made it. When I graduate from high school I know I will be ready for the next level again, and I want to play in college.
