Personal Statement
Hi my name is Jadyn Johnson, I have been playing soccer for over 12 years now. My main position is Offensive or Attacking Midfield but I can play anywhere in the midfield, defensive, or forward. This game has always motivated me as a kid and continues to do so. I typically catch myself thinking about what i need to do better or watching film during my study hall to see how I can become a better player. My teammates are a big factor in the team succeeding and I treat my teammates as if they were my family because in the end we are a family. I love the hard work that comes with achieving your goals, I continue to set new goals daily for soccer and myself. With trying to achieve those new goals often I find myself practicing after practice or running early in the morning before school. School has always been that thing that has kept me from playing soccer 24/7 but I have realized the importance of school during my middle school years. I bring the same focus and hard working attitude to school as I would to soccer practice and games. My developing as a human is all credits to my loving and supporting parents. Soccer to me has personal helped my mental health and continues to help me persevere through daily challenges in life. During practices and games I will always give my 100% effort because I want to show my coaches and teammates what I am willing to do to help my team succeed. Freshman year in high school I was so excited for High School soccer but when covid hit I was devastated because I couldn’t play the sport I loved and everyday during that time that pushed me to become better. Once Sophomore Year hit and we actually got a season I finally could show how much work and time I put in during the off season. I made starting varsity and scored 12 goals that season with many assists and help from my teammates. Last year we only made it to regional finals which was a accomplishment but I know we can do better and this season I know we will do better. I love soccer I know everyone probably says this in their statements but the time and effort I put outside of games and practices really shows how much I wanna get better. Giannis Antetokounmpo has been my inspiration when he tweeted this quote “I want to become one of the best players, so if you want to be one the best, you have to elevate all aspects of your game.” I want to be the best teammate and player for my coaches. Take this statement into consideration when viewing my profile to try and see the real “me”. I would love to be apart of your team and show you my hard working attitude and love for the game.
