Personal Statement
My name is Josie Langhans (2023) and I am a starting Outside Midfielder for the FC Wisconsin ECNL U17 team. I have typically played Forward/Winger positions in the past and I play Forward for high school. I want to continue to play soccer in college because I truly love the game. I am a creative, confident, technical, positive, unselfish, and coachable player. I am very flexible and can play any of the offensive positions and am always looking to create scoring opportunities for our team. I love to push myself to grow every season as both a player and a teammate and am just getting started! In addition to soccer, I played basketball most of my life. I also love to strength train and currently train with an S&C coach year-round. I feel cross training for speed, strength, and injury prevention makes me a better overall athlete.
I am not only a committed athlete, but a scholar as well. I take Honors and AP classes and have a 3.79/4.0 GPA (my school does not weigh grades). I am looking for an amazing university with a positive, focused & competitive, close-knit soccer program that can allow me to keep learning and playing the beautiful game.
If you give me a chance, I will give the team 110% (and then some) as I continue to grow as a player and teammate. If you have any questions about me as a player, you can contact any of my coaches. My current ECNL coach is Christian Lavers and my high school coach is Matthew Cleveland; they both are willing to talk with college coaches. Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me!
