I began swimming with a recreational league at six and then a club team at eight. However, I was 13 years old before I really started enjoying swimming. It was at this point that I realized with good supportive leadership, the right mindset, and determination that swimming could be rewarding. I see how the coaches and team are dedicated to the sport and strive to improve every day. Through them, I learned to love swimming and have fulfillment in seeing all the work put into swimming give back.
My short-term goal is to qualify for multiple events at the NCSA championship. In the long run, I want to find a supportive group of people who set challenging goals and are determined to accomplish them. I want to find a college that will fit my needs athletically and academically.
My high school is a magnet school specializing in cyber technology and engineering. I am currently looking to major in cybersecurity, but I am also interested in engineering, business, and exercise science. I will wait to see which way I am leaning in the next couple of years. Hands-on learning will be a plus.
