I am an excellent choice for a collegiate team, because I’m dedicated and determined to do well in and out of the pool. I’m focused on my nutrition, I always have a protein shake after practice to make sure I don’t lose any gains I might have made. I prioritize healthy and nutritious foods to fuel my body for the right occasions. I love sharing what I have learned with other people, so they can go the extra mile with me. Several of my friends do No Sugar November with me, and we hold each other accountable and our efforts pay off. Even though I spend a lot of time in the pool, academics are still very important to me. I always make sure to get my work done even if I have to stay up late in the evening when we have morning practice the next day. I also participate in a program called Swim for Success, where kids from my team can volunteer to give free swim lessons to kids in the community.
