Personal Statement

Ever since I was old enough to swim, I have loved it. My first swim ever was in Lake Tahoe; I was six months old. My parents say I adored the water, smiling and giggling and splashing around. At seventeen years old I still look forward to diving in everyday, but I have found more reasons to love swimming. I love the water. I love the splashing. I love the way my muscles feel after a tough practice, I love the feeling of accomplishment. I love racing. I love how good the water in my water bottle tastes after a hard set. I love how every other thought in the world leaves my mind when I'm swimming as hard as I can. And I know that all of the love I have for swimming will translate into great swimming for your college team.
