Personal Statement
Currently, I am 16 years old and am currently half way through my junior year of high school. I am looking forward to learning more in the remaining classes for my third year of high school. I recently finished a great year on the Millenium Swim team and am aspiring to become a captain next year. I have a 3.6 GPA and I am participating in honors for all of my core classes. I am quite ambitious when it comes to my future goals. I am also trying to complete as many college classes at Estrella Mountain Community College to give me an edge going into University.
Athletically, I have been awarded with the Presidential Active Life Style Award, twice. I currently only participate in one sport, swimming, but I have played on other sports teams in the past. I attend swim practice daily for 2 hours in addition to dry land workouts. I have been competing in swim for 7 years. Since I have already been on several teams I am very aware of the roles we have on the team and how important it is be there for each other. I am striving to improve my strokes, strength, times and relationships.
I participate in community service by assisting the local YMCA and I am an active member of NHS. I am not one hundred percent sure what I want to do in my future, but I am thinking of becoming a psychiatrist/ doctor.
The best way to describe my character is that I am a trustworthy, loyal, and a very responsible person. I am also very eager to help those in need. My friends would describe me as their emotional rock, which I find funny because I am a bit emotional myself. Some might even call me the mediator of the group. I am typically the one to sit down and talk things through with them and build them back up. I find comfort in helping others.
