Currently, I am 14 years old and am currently half way through my freshman year. I am looking forward to trying out for track and field, which would accompany Key Club and previously the swim team. I have a 3.83 GPA and I am participating in honors for all of my core classes. In addition, I am taking a sophomore level honors class for science. I am quite ambitious when it comes to my future aspirations and goals. I plan on being in honors and AP classes for all academic subjects. I am also trying to look into ways were I can complete college level courses during my high school years.
Athletically, I have been awarded with the Presidential Active Life Style Award, twice. I currently only participate in one sport, swimming, but I have played on other sports teams in the past. I attend swim practice daily for 2 hours in addition to dry land workouts. I have been competing in swim for 5 years. Since I have already been on several teams I am very aware of the roles we have on the team and how important it is be there for each other. I am striving to improve my strokes, strength, times and relationships.
I participate in community service by assisting the local YMCA and I took a summer law course for high schoolers during my eighth grade school year. I am not one hundred percent sure what I want to do in my future, but I am thinking of leaning towards business financial management in the health field or a doctor. Weirdly, I enjoy math and I always get a feeling of happiness when helping people, that's why those two areas interest me.
The best way to describe my character is that I am a trustworthy, loyal, and a very responsible person. I am also very eager to help those in need. I handwrite letters of encouragement and give them out with a hug and prayer to the homeless whenever I see them on the street corner. My friends would describe me as their emotional rock, which I find funny because I am a bit emotional myself. Some might even call me the mediator of the group. I am typically the one to sit down and talk things through with them and build them back up. I find comfort in helping others.
I appreciate your time in learning about me and hope you will consider me a possible candidate for your school.
