Thanks for your time
I have achieved Canadian Age National level and have traveled across North America achieving best times. I've managed to achieve a few of my goals so far throughout my swimming career including being ranked in the top 10 in Canada for both the 100m and 200m breastroke in 2011, 2012, and 2013. I am very proud of what I have been able to achieve so far and have the determination to continue with my long term goals to continue with strength training in my senior year which will bring me to a higher level moving me onwards to a great team at University Level.
Having had a setback in 2013-2014 with Mono my pure inner strength told me not to quit as many may have. Knowing my dream and my tenacity you will certainly find me to be a pleasure to work with. I have learned the struggles and what it takes to never give up and I strongly believe I have the capacity to now flourish more so. I am completely well and stronger than ever!
I am currently training with the Pacific Sea Wolves in the Senior group with Brad Dingey as my coach. I've had the opportunity to participate in an amazing Dave Salo swim camp in June 2013 learning many new tips and techniques that helped me advance in my swimming. This summer I represented the Pacific Sea Wolves at the 2014 Pacific Swimming Far Western Championships in Concord, California. I placed 5th in the 100m Breastroke and 8th in the 200m Breastroke. In November, I finished in 6th place in the 100m Breastroke and 3rd place in the 200m Individual Medley relay at the BC High School Championships.
Attending Semiahmoo Secondary, I also take a lot of pride in my school work maintaining a 3.5/4.0 GPA. I became a peer leader in my grade 10 and 11 year in high school and was an assist coach for the High School swim team as well as a swimmer on that same team. I am an organized person with school and I am capable of managing my homework and training schedule at the same time. I have always had an interest in sports and the study of criminology, when in university I wish to study in this field at this point.
If you are happy to communicate with me you will find I am easy to get along with and have a very positive outlook on life, will even make you laugh at times. Knowing that most people are faced with challenges I know this really is just another reason to focus on your passion and always look forward, never back.Success is only reached from failing:) FAILURE = SUCCESS!
