Personal Statement

I am a Senior at Clayton Valley Charter High School in Concord, CA.  I am in the Engineering and Design Academy. My interests of study right now when I attend college is Architecture and Environmental Design

Since freshman year I have swam on the Varsity team at my high school.
During the 2022 season  I was apart of 3 relay teams that qualified for North Coast Section.  My 200 medley relay team made it to the finals which I swam freestyle and got a personal best of 25.07.  Our relay also made the top 10 fastest medley relay time at my high school.

During the 2022 and 2023 Summer Rec season I made County qualifying time in 100 Free, 50 Free, 100  Fly, 100 Back and 100 IM .  My 15/18 Girls Medley Relay broke a team record from 2010 and received  an Outstanding Female Relay award at the Woodlands Invitational “A” Meet, City Meet Championship and the Contra Costa County Swim Championship.  I also received High Point winner for 15/18 girls on my swim team both years.

In 2021 I volunteered at my summer rec swim team helping the 6 & under swimmers learn to swim. That was very rewarding for me to teach young kids  how to do something I love to do.

Some of my 2021 summer accomplishments in swim is taking 2nd place overall at Pentathlon, swimming 100 IM, 50 Free, 50 Fly, 50 Breast and 50 back.  I was the Battle of the Ages Invitational high point winner in the girls 14 age group . I was the Woodlands “A”  Invitational  13/14 high point winner .  At the Contra Costa County Championship meet I placed 3rd overall in 50 yd Free and  in the 100 yd IM and my Medley Relay placed  2nd and  my Free Relay placed 1st .

I have been swimming competitively for 9 years.  During  that time  I have qualified for the Contra Costa County Championship meet eight times. The summer of 2019 I was on record breaking relay teams. I  anchored the "A" free and medley relay teams and also swam fly in the "A" medley relay. On my summer swim teams I have been awarded high point winner in my age group from 2017-2022  at the end of each season.

I am a perfectionist and because of this, I work hard to get things right. Swimming at a college level is one of my goals and I know that my hard work during training, my determination to win during meets and my academic goals of getting good grades would make me an asset to your team.
